Ken Boone showed us a home-brew project based on the Texas Instruments MSP 430, that controls an infrared remote control, providing some IR interference for the maze followers at the annual Trinity College contest.
Then he shared a scary Halloween candy bowl with a skeleton hand that grabs you when you reach for the candy. But that's not all -- he added an animatronic black cat that makes all sorts of scary noises once the skeleton hand gets activated.
